We currently have Sales Engineering positions open in various locations throughout the US Candidates must be open to travel.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, world class technology firm in support of sales and marketing efforts. Successful candidates will provide pre sales services including system engineering, technical product presentations, training, trouble shooting, technical account management and general "evangelizing" of the Global Velocity platform and products. This position reports directly to the Global Velocity Director of Sales Engineering.

An ideal candidate will possess many of the following career attributes:

• 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, working with the sales, marketing and product development team to:
  • Assess customer requirements
  • Research customers in preparation for sales-oriented / technical briefing meetings
  • Support proposal development
  • Develop and lead technical presentations and demonstrations for sales meetings
  • Facilitate technical Q&A sessions
  • Develop and implement customer specific trial test & evaluation plans
  • Lead/manage customer lab evaluations to successful conclusion
  • Develop and communicate implementation programs in cooperation with post sale and operations teams to assure clean handoffs
  • Develop and provide ad hoc training and knowledge sharing sessions for other sales engineers, partners, customer engineers, and other technical interests
• 5+ years of experience with network security concepts, tools and techniques, knowledge of information security products and techniques, vulnerability scanners, IDS, firewalls, encryption technologies. Following attributes are considered a plus:
  • Cisco, Juniper, Nortel or other similar certifications, especially IP and security related
  • CISSP or other security focused certifications
  • Penetration testing knowledge is plus
  • Solid current understanding of application and content security concepts and approaches
• Network Operations Experience a plus
• Experience in Linux, UNIX and Windows administration
• Engineering, Computer Science or related degree is desirable, however experience is key
