» GV-2010 Reprogrammable Hardware

Industry-proven technology provides power and flexibility.

The GV-2010 uses a proven reprogrammable technology called the field-programmable gate array (FPGA). FPGAs contain a matrix of configurable logic blocks that can be programmed to perform simple functions. Configurable signal routing allows relatively complex tasks to be performed by connecting these logic blocks together.

Modern FPGAs can duplicate the functionality of millions of logic gates, which are the basic building blocks of microprocessors and other digital circuits. Virtually all FPGAs also contain on-chip memory for small, high-performance storage. Many contain other specialized blocks such as digital signal processors (DSPs) and simple microprocessors.

FPGAs provide the hardware power and software flexibility to meet advanced networking challenges that today’s software can’t. Traditional software solutions are unable to effectively manage network traffic or keep up with the explosive growth of Internet traffic. That’s why Global Velocity created the GV-2010 from the ground up, to provide you with the next generation cybersecurity solutions.

"“When we spoke with the folks at Global Velocity - the company's corporate headquarters is in Clayton, Mo., with an office in Palo Alto, Calif. - we were impressed with what we termed “DLP on steroids”.  This is one hot box … We liked this product and the company for their creative approach to a real problem: deep analysis at very high speeds and reduction of the number of boxes needed to put on our perimeters.”"
